These are the steps to nowhere that will become my new front porch steps! Notice my attempt at safety by attaching a bungee cord and some colored bandannas to warn people off.
The area under the steps from where the metal post goes into the cement to the wall of the porch is all new cement that Mike and I poured. We made the steps during the summer using a mold that he made. The steps have metal in them and a plate on the bottom that is welded to the metal post. The small square marks on each end of the top and bottom step are where the metal sticks out to weld the handrails to.
Yesterday when I got home Mike had two boards down and I helped him put a third down. The first ones take time because of cutting to fit around the end posts.
