This is the story of a Side Board that was in a home with a Table. What you are seeing to your right is a picture of this Side Board at the start of the restoration project. Before we look at what happened a little story about the Side Board.

This Side Board was with a table in the Home of L.L. and Lizzie Hamlin of Taylor, Arkansas. For many years it was in place there and used by the family. Can you imagine all the many wonderful meals this side board saw served on the table. Can you imagine the conversations the side board was able to listen in on. What happy family times there were then.

With the passing of L.L. and Lizzie the side board  went into storage along with many plans for use and utilization. These plans were not to be. But then good things came about for the side board.
2003 was a very good year for the side board. One day Gayle and Owen King came down and took the table to its new home in Mississippi.

Time can be hard on furniture when it is in storage. The side board was stored in the early fifties, so it set waiting for quite a period of time.. In 2003 the side board was much in need of care and love. Gayle and Owen provided this care and love. They took the side board home with them and begain the long, hard and delicate restoration process.

As you will see from the pictures, it was a very sucessful process. The side board is now beautiful once again. L.L. and Lizzie along with their family members are very proud of it.

The side board is now in its new home with the King's. As you can see from the final picture is a very beautiful addition.
